FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid

FAFSA Follow-Up

Print Student Aid Report (SAR)

You can print a copy of your SAR if you submitted a FAFSA for the 2010-2011 School Year (July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011) or the 2009-2010 School Year (July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010)

There are two ways to access your SAR:

  1. If you have a Federal Student Aid PIN:
    • Validate your personal information and PIN by providing your Social Security Number, first and last name, date of birth and PIN.
    • Select the SAR Transaction number you would like to print.
    • Select “Print Summary” from the list of options on the left side of the page.
  2. If you have received a Federal Student Aid e-mail with the subject “Your Federal Student Aid FAFSA has been processed”:
    • Follow the link in the e-mail.
    • Validate your personal information by providing your Social Security Number, first two letters of your last name and date of birth.
    • Select “Print Summary” from the list of options on the left side of the page.

If you know your PIN and would like to access your SAR now, choose the year for which you would like to print a SAR and select Next. If you do not have a PIN, or need to request a duplicate PIN, go to Federal Student Aid’s PIN Web site.

Important Note: A PIN that is selected or viewed instantly online or is sent to you in an e-mail is considered to be conditional until your information is verified with the Social Security Administration (1-3 days from the date you first apply). You may sign your FAFSA with it, but nothing else. Once we complete this verification, you will be able to use your PIN for other purposes (such as printing your SAR).
