No. Corrections on the Web cannot be used to correct your Social Security Number (SSN). Once entered, the SSN, is used as part of your identification.
If you filed a FAFSA using an incorrect Social Security Number, you can only change that SSN by entering the correct one on a paper Student Aid Report (SAR) or the financial aid office at one of the schools listed on your SAR can change it for you. If you need a paper SAR you can call the Federal Student Aid Information Center to request a copy. Refer to the Customer Service page for contact and assistance information. Otherwise, you must file a new FAFSA with the correct SSN.
