Yes. You (or the person filling out the form) can save the information at any point in the application. To save the application, select Save at the lower part of any FAFSA page. Do not use the Save commands that are built into the browser.
Note: To retrieve your saved application, you must provide your Social Security
Number, first name, last name, date of birth, and the password entered when
you began your initial FAFSA application.
If you forget the password, your information cannot be retrieved and a new
application will have to be started. Neither Customer Service nor the U.S.
Department of Education can access the password or give you a new password.
Saved applications are automatically deleted after 45 days or after the federal
application/correction deadline date. (Select Application Deadline Dates on
the home page to see the federal application/correction deadline
dates).
