If I forget the password used to save my application, what should the I do?

If you (or the person filling out the form) forget the password, your application cannot be retrieved, and you will have to start a new application. Neither Customer Service nor the U.S. Department of Education can access the password or give you a new password. Also, if you do not retrieve your saved application within 45 days or before the federal application/correction deadline date, it will be deleted, and you will have to start a new application. (Select Application Deadline Dates on the home page to see the federal application/correction deadline dates).
