If you have a different e-mail or mailing address than the one listed on the PIN Request screen, you can change it by selecting the "Update my Personal Information" option at www.pin.ed.gov.
PINs mailed through the U.S. Postal Service cannot be forwarded, therefore, we recommend that you keep your PIN mailing address current.
The fastest way to receive your PIN is by e-mail. We encourage you to give us your current e-mail address. We will send you a PIN notification e-mail with instructions on how to retrieve your PIN. It takes 1 to 3 days for us to generate a PIN and send you the e-mail notification.
To ensure that your PIN notification is delivered to your e-mail inbox, enter
our originating e-mail address, FederalStudentAidPIN@cpsemail.ed.gov, into your e-mail
address book.
