Can my parents and I share the same PIN?

Previous

No. You and your parents cannot share the same PIN. A unique PIN is issued to each person. It serves as part of the person’s identification as well as their electronic signature.

If you or your parents need a PIN, go to the PIN Web site at www.pin.ed.gov. At the PIN site you can apply for a new PIN or request a duplicate PIN, if you forgot your PIN.
