Each time a FAFSA or a correction to a Student Aid Report (SAR) is processed, a transaction number is created.
For example, when your original FAFSA is processed, Transaction 01 is created and a SAR is generated. If a correction is made to the SAR, Transaction 02 is created and a new SAR is generated. If another correction is made to the SAR, Transaction 03 is created and a new SAR is generated.
