A Federal Student Aid PIN is used to electronically sign FAFSA on the Web applications.
If you are a dependent student, at least one of your parents must sign your application. Your parent can also sign your application electronically with his or her PIN.

If you or your parent want to apply for a PIN, go to the Federal Student Aids's PIN Web site at www.pin.ed.gov and select Apply For A PIN.

Follow the instructions at that web site to apply for and receive your PIN.
