You should change your last name at the Social Security Administration and once that change has been processed, you can apply for a new Federal Student Aid PIN using your new last name. To apply for a new PIN, go to the PIN web site at www.pin.ed.gov and select Apply For A PIN.

You may also file a FAFSA using your new last name and a new PIN will be issued to you in your new last name.
