Progress in FAFSA on the Web

Previous

FAFSA on the Web displays your progress through the application on the left side of the screen. The vertical progress bar keeps track of the section of the application you are currently in, and the sections you have already completed or not yet reached. As you complete the application, you can access previously completed sections by selecting the section you want to return to on the progress bar. This allows you to change or correct answers before submitting. If you access a previously completed section and change answers, you can return to where you were before and make the changes by selecting the appropriate section. You cannot select a section that you have not yet completed.

Note: A completed section means only that the answers entered contain valid content. This does not mean that the answers are consistent with other answers entered elsewhere on the FAFSA. When you complete the application, it will then be verified for consistency before submitting.
