FAFSA on the Web contains several documents that you can print. For best results, we recommend that you properly set up the browser's font size, paper size and orientation, and page margins as below:

Browser Option Recommended Setting
Font size 10-point or 12-point
Paper size Letter or US Letter (8.5" x 11.0")
Orientation Portrait
Page margins Left and Right 0.75"; top and bottom 0.50"

The signature page should print on one sheet of paper. For the signature page to be processed, the following must be visible:

  1. Set up the browser's font size and page settings as recommended. (Select Printing Help Topics to see the settings.)
  2. Select File from the browser's menu bar.
  3. Select Print... from the list.
  4. Select the OK or Print button to print.

  1. Select File from the browser's menu bar.
  2. Select Page Setup... from the list.
  3. Make sure page settings are as recommended. (Select Print Help Topics to see the settings.)
  4. For Windows users, you can also set up the page this way:
    1. Select File from the browser's menu bar.
    2. Select Print... from the list.
    3. Select the printer Properties button.
    4. Make sure page settings are as recommended. (Select Print Help Topics to see the settings.)

  1. Select View from the browser's menu bar above.
  2. Set Make Text Normal Size.
  3. Set Text Encoding to Unicode (UTF-8).

  1. Select View from the browser's menu bar above.
  2. Set Text Size to Smaller or Medium.
  3. Set Encoding to Western European.
  4. Select Tools from the menu bar above.
  5. Select Internet Options from the list.
  6. Select the Fonts... button at the lower part of the screen.
  7. Make sure Language script is set to Latin based.
  8. Make sure Web page font is set to Times New Roman.
  9. Make sure Plain text font is set to Courier or Courier New.

  1. Select Tools, then Internet Options.
  2. Select the General tab at the top.
  3. Select the Fonts button.
  4. Make sure Language Script is set to Latin based.
  5. Make sure Web page font is set to Times New Roman.
  6. Make sure Plain text font is set to Courier or Courier New.

  1. Select Tools from the menu bar above.
  2. Select Options... from the drop-down list.
  3. Select Content at the top of the window.
  4. Under Font & Colors make sure Default font: is set to Times New Roman.
  5. Then click Advanced...
  6. Make sure the box for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" is checked.

If you are unable to print the Signature Page...

You must write down the confirmation number and keep it for your records.
