When you begin college in the 2009-2010 school year, what do you expect your enrollment status to be?

Previous

This is question 30 on the paper FAFSA.

If you are applying to more than one school, select the enrollment status for the school that you are most likely to attend. If the school is a non-term or clock-hour school, select the enrollment status that most closely matches the time that you plan to attend school.

For undergraduates, the following definitions generally apply:

Enrollment Status Term Hours
Full time At least 12 credit hours in a term or 24 clock hours per week
3/4 time At least 9 credit hours in a term or 18 clock hours per week
1/2 time At least 6 credit hours in a term or 12 clock hours per week
Less than 1/2 time Fewer than 6 credit hours in a term or less than 12 clock hours per week

Schools use your enrollment status to help determine your financial aid eligibility. If your enrollment status changes during the school year, your student aid package may be adjusted to reflect the change in enrollment status.
