To assist in determining how many people are in your parents' household, use the Household Size worksheet.

The worksheet will display with some numbers pre-filled based on the answer to question 61 Parents' Marital Status.

Note: Because you are a dependent student you are automatically counted as a member of your parents' household even if you do not live with them.

Enter the number of children (other than yourself) who will receive more than half of their support from your parents between July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. Also enter the number of people who are not your parents' children but who live with your parents and receive more than half of their support from your parents, and will continue to receive more than half of their support from your parents between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.

The worksheet will automatically add the numbers you enter to determine the number of people in your parents' household.
