This question asks if either of your parents is a dislocated worker. Answer this question about the parent who is completing the application

In general, a person may be considered a dislocated worker if he or she:

If a person quits work, generally he or she is not considered a dislocated worker even if, for example, the person is receiving unemployment benefits.

Select Yes to question 85 if your parent is a dislocated worker.

Select No to question 85 if your parent is not a dislocated worker.

Select Don’t know to question 85 if you are not sure whether your parent is a dislocated worker. You can contact your financial aid office for assistance in answering these questions.

Note that the financial aid administrator at your school may require you to provide proof that your parent is a dislocated worker, if you answered "Yes" to question 85, or that you or your spouse is a dislocated worker, if you answered "Yes" to question 103.
